Fun Fun Day

Sorry I haven't updated all week. It has been really crazy a work and I knew I would have time to update today sometime.

I have been here at the hospital since 8am, it is 5:45 right now. The good thing though is I am getting my iron. I already feel better. The only bad thing is I have two IVs, I am hooked up to a heart monitor, a pulse ox and blood pressure cuff that is a killer. They have also checked the baby's heart beat every so often. With all this hooked up you can just imagine trying to go to the bathroom...LOL. But all is good.
I have had a good long nap today and Emily is here with me and has waited on me hand and foot all day. She is a great sister, even though she is leaving me in a few days to go to Hawaii, WITHOUT ME!!!! I just hope she has a great trip and is safe.

Well it is hard to type with this IV in one hand and pulse ox on the other so I am going to go. So if I have time I will update tomorrow sometime.

A Sunday from HELL!!!!!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was going great until Sunday.

Saturday Bubby brought Mackenzie to the house about 6:30 that morning. Him and Becca both had to work. I fed her a bottle and she went back to sleep. She woke me up about 2 hours later. I was hoping she would go back to sleep but she wouldn't have it. We got up, I changed her and she was ready to eat about 30 min later. She had her some apples and cherries and I fixed me and Christon blue berry muffins. After we got done eating I cleaned up the mess and lil mac and she played in the floor for awhile. After she took a nap we all got ready and when to see Bubby at work. She was so happy to see her daddy. We left there and went to see Christon's mom and dad. We visited with them most of the day. I went got lunch for all of us at KFC. After eating me and lil mac laid down and took a nap. We left there about 6pm. We took lil mac home after leaving there. We watched a movie with Bubby and got home about 11pm.

Sunday we get up early b/c I need to be at the hospital by 9am. The sooner they get me started on the iron the sooner we could go home. It takes all day to get it b/c they have to give so slow. We get there at 9:45 and I get registered and they take me back. They come in and start my IV. I am sitting back there for a lil bit and the nurse comes in to tell me that we are just waiting on the iron to get there to start. I just sit there and watch tv and finally Christon comes back there and bring me some chips to eat. We hadn't eaten breakfast yet. The nurse then comes back in to tell me that they may be moving me to OB so I could be put on a fetal monitor. Which was fine with me. I would be in a more comfortable bed and they could monitor the baby also. Dr. Beverly calls them back to tell them that I can't be put on a fetal monitor at 19 wks b/c the baby is so small that the monitor wouldn't be able to keep up with it with all the room it has to move. Now that we know that we are staying there we are trying to decide what we want to eat. Then the nurse comes back in to read me off the risks of the iron. Like I didn't already know these things. All of my doctors and I had already went over these a million times and decided that it was worth the risk. So she tries to explain to me everything that I already know. By this time I am stressed out and break down crying, one b/c I am pissed, two I am tired and have already been there for almost 2 hours and three I have explained my reason's for having this a million times to this woman and she keeps asking the same question. About 30 min later she returns to tell me that I can't have my iron, b/c she doesn't feel comfortable giving it to me. The thing is even if a doctor writes you orders for something and the nurse doesn't want to sign off on it you can't receive it no matter what the doctor says. So she tells me that she has spoken to both Dr. Beverly and Dr. Gover (he wrote the orders) and tells me that they said that I had to get an order from my OB doctor in Vandy and Dr. Beverly has to sign off on it before I can receive it. Also she continues to tell me that she can't promise that a nurse in that hospital will sign off on it. Needless to say I was infuriated. Remember they have already started my IV (obviously for NO REASON) so she had to take that out. I walk out of there even more stressed out than I already was, with a very pissed off husband which makes everything else just smell like roses. I call mom crying and she is just as mad as Christon was.

So we go on into BG to get something to eat. To make me feel better he took me to Long Horn Steak house. I really wanted Red Lobster but he had been having stomach problems earlier that morning and didn't want to upset it. After eating we ran to Home Depot for him to get a something for his trailer. Then we went over to Toys R Us I wanted to look and see if they had baby stuff b/c that is were his mom wants me to register at for some reason. His dad called to see if he wanted to go and look at this car he is wanting to buy. Then Christon decided that he wanted to go a head and get his GPS system he had been wanting. We went and looked at Wal-mart, Best Buy, and H H Gregg. He found the one that he had been waiting to come out since earlier this year. So he bought that one. After that lil adventure we headed back to Morgantown. We stopped at Garcia's to talk to Bubby and Becca and then went on home. We watched drag racing and Army Wives while I shopped online for a few baby things just to get some ideas on what I might want. Then I went to bed.

Today I woke up with a bad nose bleed. And that is exactly what I needed on top of everything else. I got to work and called Dr. Beverly' s office first thing. He was in surgery this morning so I told the nurse what had happened yesterday and I asked her what I needed to do. She said that she would speak with the doc and call me back. I spoke with her about 2pm and she said that Dr. Beverly is not happy at all about what happened yesterday and that him and Dr. Gover will work this out. She said that she had spoken too the director of nursing at the hospital and everything will be worked out soon. She is hoping I will be able to get my iron sometime this week.

Well I hope everyone had a better weekend than I did. I am praying that I have a better rest of the week.

Happy Hump Day!!!

Well the weekend is getting closer everyday.

Yesterday I went to yet another doctors appointment. I had to go see the Pulmonary doc, Dr. Thompson, yesterday. I really didn't learn anything from him. But he is going to get with Dr. Beverly to see what we need to do. The only way to know if I have an AVM in my lungs is to do an x-ray. Dr. Thompson isn't sure if we should do an x-ray now or wait until I am further along. Either way it doesn't matter to me, I just don't want to have one now and then another later. Even though the baby will be covered with a lead shield the baby is still exposed to some radiation. So the fewer x-rays the better. I am to call Dr. Thompson next week to follow up with him.
After I got back home from BG I called Dr. Gover to see if he would change my orders to one unit of blood other than iron. Andrea called me back and said he don't feel comfortable giving me blood. So after I spoke with her I called Dr. Beverly to see what I should do. He assured me that the iron is very safe and that I would benefit from it more than I would from just a unit of blood. So after his reassurance I have decided to go this weekend to get the iron. So hopefully a few days after I get that I will be feeling a lot better.
Christon got home from work and wanted to work on the pool but realized that Deadliest Catch was coming on in about an hour and he wouldn't have time. He did add some chemicals to the pool so we will be able to work on it this afternoon. He came in to take his shower while I cooked us some supper. We ate and watched tv and I was in bed about 10:30, but didn't go to sleep until about 11:30.
I am having trouble sleeping already and I am only 18 wks along. I am a back or belly sleeper. It hurts my belly to sleep on my belly and your not suppose to sleep on you back. So I am just having a terrible time sleeping at night. I think if I had the whole bed to my self it would be better. I told Christon I was going to move to the back room but he has to get some things out of there before I can. Hopefully I can get use to sleeping on my side soon.

I spoke with Jessica this morning and she said Suzie is doing well. She started chemo yesterday and seemed to do well with it. They gave her something to help her sleep and she is resting better now. If she does well with her next treatment she will be able to come home and continue her treatments in Bowling Green. She will have to return to Louisville every so often but it will be better for her and the family for her to be home. So continue to pray for her and her family.

Well hope everyone has great rest of the week. Hopefully this humidity will go down were we can enjoy our weekend. Everyone remember all those in need of prayer.

Not doing so HOT!!!

It has been a long weekend and I can feel it. Even though we didn't do much I am worn out.

Thursday afternoon I went to see Dr. Gover to have my counts checked and I knew they were low. So I wasn't too surprised when he told me they were 8 :(. So our plan was to get iron intravenously over the weekend. But after thinking about the risks off it maybe hurting the baby I decided not to get. I would rather take a unit of blood, it is safer for the baby. With it being the holiday weekend I wasn't able to get a hold of my doctor and he is off today. I will call him tomorrow to get the orders changed. I have to do something. I can't blow dry my hair and straighten my hair with out sitting down. What use to be easy for me takes every bit of energy I have to do (that is why I knew it was low). I got home from the dr and we headed to the Catfish Festival for the girls pageant. We had to park 50 miles away and I thought I was never going to make it. It was a good thing we got there early or I would have missed it for all the breaks I took walking there...lol. I helped Becca get lil mac ready and as Becca is tying her straps one comes off. Becca freaks, which she was already a nervous wreck. So I told her we could tie it as a haulter top and cut the other string off. It looked just fine. The weather was nasty and raining but they went on with the show. Both girls did great but neither placed. I really didn't think it was fair that an 8 mon old had to compete with a 12 mon old, but they still look beautiful to me. After the girls was over it was time for Carson's to start and as soon as they get them lined up it started to rain again. That is when they decided to finally move it to a pavilion. Me and Becca were both starving so we all went to the Farm Boy to eat supper.

Friday was a nasty day. Bubby called about 9:30 and woke us up to tell us he was on his way. Him and lil Mac were going to come over and hang out with us for the day. They got there and I played in the floor with her. Christon wanted to go the Whitaker's Gun shop so I ran and got ready. We went over there and then Bubby took us to the job sight they had been working at. We got home and bub wanted to go to a cookout at a friends house. He left lil mac with us and we were to meet up with him and Becca that the fire works in town. He called a few hours later to tell us that they had rescheduled the fire works for Sat night. So Becca came and got lil mac when she got off work. It wasn't long after she left that I went to bed.

Saturday we got up and did NOTHING all day. I finally got off the couch about 6:30 and started getting ready. I was going to the Catfish Festival or somewhere to watch the fire works whether he wanted to go or not. While I was in the shower Tiff called and wanted us to go up there to watch the fire works with them. We decided to go over there with them. We had a great view of them from Jas and Tiff's hill, too it wasn't too loud for the kids. It took them for ever but Christon, Jerry, Jason, and Brandon finally got us a fire going to roast marshmallows, yeah it took all of them and some gas to get it going....LOL. The kids had a blast making somores. Bub and Becca wanted to go out so they dropped lil mac off at Tiff's house to spend the night with me. She was asleep until we walked into the house and she was wide awake. She played with Hannah and Emma for a bit and it was time to go back to sleep. We stayed over there until about 1am watching the UFC fight on PPV.

Sunday lil mac woke me up about 8 and wanted a clean diaper and a bottle. She had her bottle and back to bed. We woke back up about 11. We played a bit and watched tv. She got hungry about the time I started fixing me something to eat. Christon finished my muffins I was cooking while I fed her her favorite, Bananas. We did better this time eating. When I fed her sweet potatoes on Friday we had them everywhere. I would give her a bite and she would stick her toes in her mouth. She had it in her nose, on her hands, on her feet and on my couch. Christon just laughed at her. After we both ate we loaded up and headed to Provo. Christon had to mow Dad and Bubby's yards. While he mowed me and Becca went to Wal-Mart in Central City. We both had to get a few things. We stopped and got us some Long John Silvers on the way back. We went to mom' s when we got back and hung out there for a while. Bubby took dad's new backhoe to the Wrong bottoms to play. Me, Becca and lil Mac went down there to see what kind of damage he had done. We stayed down there for a lil while until lil mac got fussy and we headed back to mom and dad's. Mom had left to go and get dad so me and Becca went on the her house. We gave lil mac a bath and Becca tryed out her new vacuum cleaner. Christon and Bubby came in not long after. We stayed there a lil bit and then went on home. I wanted to stop and get some strawberries so we stopped at IGA North (old Foodland) and they didn't have any. I was pissed. We got stuff to make BLTs. We got home and I cooked bacon and made BLTs while we watched my favorite new show (since Grey's is off) Army Wives. I washed a load of laundry and went to bed.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week. Also continue to pray for the Tyree and Hunt family. Suzie is a very sick woman and she is wanting to come home but not sure if that is possible at this time.

More to tell....

Mom just called to let me know that they have made Winnie's funeral arrangements. She will be out at Smith's tonight from 5 - 9, and tomorrow morning 8 - 11:15 and funeral at Monticello Church at 2.

Also they finally was able to do Suzie's biopsy early this morning. It did come back as cancer but the prognosis is good. They will start chemo soon and they have also told the family that she could live 10 yrs with this type of cancer.

Mom told me that she thinks Emily has strep. Poor kid it is always something with her. She got the flu earlier this year, then when Maw passed she got it again, then she had some type of allergic reaction to something and her hands and feet were swelling, and now she has strep. Hopefully she will be over by next week when she leaves for church camp. Then when she gets back from camp she will be home for a week and then leaves for Hawaii.

I best get back to work. I have a few evals to do before I leave today. Everyone continue to pray for the Tyree family, Hunt family and the Wilson family.

Updates...

I have just received word that Winnie Wilson has lost her battle with cancer. Winnie is the wife of Darrell Wilson, mother to Brice Wilson wife Donna and Tony Wilson wife Teresa. She has four grandchildren, Tiffany Wilson, J.B. Wilson wife Misty, Kevin Wilson wife Jessica, and Dustin Wilson, and 2 great-grandchildren. I don't know any funeral arrangements at this time. I will update when I do.

Also an update on Suzie. They received word last night that it may not be cancer. They aren't sure of anything right now. So they didn't start chemo on Saturday as planned. They are to do a biopsy of her pancreas if not today with in the next few days.

Today is Dakota's funeral please be praying for that family and friend along with the Wilson and Hunt family.

Hope everyone has a great day.
